Imagination Playground is proud to announce our first Block Champion of 2021, the Duran Place for Kids, located in Ontario, Canada! Owners and founders Tina De Crisci and Claudio Duran are big believers in play and brought Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks to their organization three years ago.

The Duran Place for Kids is an activity center that focuses many of their activities around the Blue Blocks, including incorporating them into yoga and ballet classes, on-site summer camps, outdoor play, and even birthday parties! The center has entire floor dedicated to Blue Block play where children can come build, stack, and participate in bunker battles. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Duran Place for Kids safely adapted their play area to adhere to safety protocols through reserved individual play time for families. They took the Blocks outdoors into the cold Canadian winter to give more access to their community and even used the Blocks as a mental health resource to assist children and youth during the stressful time.

At the Duran Place for Kids, they believe the Big Blue Blocks are “the best investment with enduring quality.” Their center has been nicknamed the “Block Place” by the local children who love to create obstacle courses and structures to hide in with the Blocks.
